Chain of Office of the Chairman of the Cardiff Royal Infirmary. Mounted on a black velvet board with a presentation plaque inscribed: 'This chain of the Office of Chairman of the Cardiff Royal Infirmary was handed to SIR WILLIAM REARDON SMITH Bt JP to commemorate the devoted service he rendered to the Infirmary as Chairman from 18th November 1942 to 5th July 1948 on which date the Infirmary ceased to be a Voluntary Hospital'.
