Plate, soft-paste porcelain, greyish paste with a creamy brown translucency, standing on a shallow foot rim, dish-shaped with pronounced cavetto and waved, fluted rim; the centre painted in polychrome enamels with a circular titled scene, 'From the Menagerie / Hafod', featuring a view of the Ystwyth valley looking east from the Menagerie, framed by a blue line edged with gold and gilded sprays, the rim with gilded pendant leaves below a blue border and gilded dentil edge.
