Roman samian vessel, stamped
A large samian bowl, form Dr 37. Below a bead row is a freestyle hunting scene showing a man on horseback throwing a spear with his cloak billowing behind. He is chasing a doe with head looking back and a large cat, possibly a lioness. Below the horseman is a large Boar. The makers stamp is below the lioness and reads CINNAMUS (retrograde). Below the stamp is a naked leaping man. Scattered in the field is the cornstook.
