Handmade crocheted dreamcatcher with beads and a suspension loop. Main colours are navy and blue. Made by Karen Evans of Bedwas during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Er fod yr holl beth yn erchyll rydyn ni wedi dangos brwydr gryf yn ei herbyn... Rydw i wedi bod yn creu crochet i'w gosod o gwmpas Bedwas i helpu bobl i wenu a fod yn hapus ac i codi calon trwy yr holl beth. Mae ymateb wedi bod yn un bendigedig a rydw i wedi dechrau pobl eraill i creu pethau celf i'w rhannu o gwmpas hefyd". Karen Evans, 19.5.2020.
Crocheted in purple yarn around a circular wire. The end of the wire has been twisted together at the upper centre. Inside of circle is filled in with crochet stitches using yarn of two shades of grey and five shades of blue. The darker of the two greys has narrow strands of silver incorporated into the yarn (metallised strips of plastic). n the centre of the circle is a façeted, clear glass bead (Ø = 0.5cm) which has been secured using white thread. There is a 14cm long crocheted hanging loop using purple yarn and suspended from the bottom of the circle is a 9cm long purple thread onto which six beads have been threaded. There are four types of beads: a large plastic pearlescent bead (Ø = 1.3cm), two clear plastic beads with specs of red, green and gold glitter (Ø = 0.9cm), two larger and one smaller wooden bead (Ø = 1cm and 0.8cm). These are held in place by a knot in the end of the yarn.
