Teapot and cover
Teapot, earthenware, standing on a four feet, bulbous roughly oval body, flaring irregual octagonal shaped lip-rim, curving spout with foliate moulding to either side of the lower part and a round bulge to the bottom, high loop handle with raised thumb-spur and several further outer spurs along its length, domed irregular octagonal shaped cover with leaf shaped finial and foliate moulding around the base of the finial, a pierced steam hole to one side; the exterior of the teapot, the spout, the handle and the top of the cover covered with copper lustre, this then crudely painted in blue, yellow and white enamels with to either side of the body a stylized floral spray, floral and foliate sprigs around the lip-rim, the top of the cover and to the handle, the spout and finial picked out in blue enamel, the interior of the teapot and the underside of the cover covered with a dark brown glaze. The body of the teapot broken and repaired.
