Casgliadau Arlein

Plate, buff coloured earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim; covered all over with a blue tinged white tin-glaze, the upperside of the plate painted in blue with to one side of the well and spreading up onto the rim a Chinese-style scene of stylized buildings surrounded by large spreading flowers and foliage, an insect to the rim above the scene, the rim cracked in places and repaired.
