Cup and saucer, trembleuse
Cup, hard-paste porcelain, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, flaring sides, angular handle with foliate moulding around the upper terminal; the exterior of the cup covered with a brown ground to imitate wood, against which is reserved to the front of the body a rectangular panel left white and finely painted in black with a riverside landscape with two figures, trees, rocks and a building with a ruined tower, to the bottom left of the landscape is the inscription "Wanus. P.", gilt edges to the foot-rim, lip-rim and handle. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, rounded foot-rim, and curving sides, around the centre of the well a short tapering cylindrical cup-guard; the upperside of the saucer covered with a brown ground to imitate wood, against which are reserved to either side of the well two rectangular panels left white and finely painted in black with two different riverside landscapes showing figures, rocks, trees and towered buildings, to the bottom left of one landscape is the inscription "Porro. P." and to the bottom left of the other the inscription "rolant. p.", a red dot to each corner of both panels, gilt edges to the rim of the saucer and the rim of the cup guard.
