Hopkins, Thomas (Lived in The Maples, Morriston, Swansea c.1910 and was a billiard-hall owner.)
Billiard recorder invented by Thomas Hopkins of Morriston, Swansea, in 1915. The dial and mechanism are housed in a rectangular wooden case; on top of the case is a bell; the metal dial has a cream painted face with arabic numerals and one hand; the dial is painted with the following: 'T. HOPKINS' BILLIARD RECORDER PATENT No 6100/15 UPLANDS, SWANSEA'. Also on the face is an indicator showing the total half hours timed.
