Vase, bone china; standing on a square plinth base, a narrow pedestal foot with a pronounced ridge above, slender ovoid shape with a concave curved neck extending over the shoulder and flaring at lip; two handles formed by a monopodic female wearing a crown with outstretched wings (one wing broken), terminating with a moulded acanthus leaf; one side painted with growing polychrome flowers in the foreground, including foxgloves, white and pink roses, and yellow and purple tulips, with two tall plinths either side, one holding an urn the other a basket of flowers, with a bridge and mountains in the distance; other side painted with a spray of five pink roses in full bloom; frieze of flowers around the base of the neck with wavy trailing gilt foliage and small polychrome flowers above; gilt plinth and pedestal foot, gilt bands to the shoulder, and interior and exterior of the lip, gilt handles.
