Afon Tafwys yn Llundain
Artist: MONET, Claude (1840 - 1926)
Daeth Monet i Lundain ym 1871 i ddianc rhag y rhyfel rhwng Ffrainc a Phrwsia. Mae'r olygfa hon yn dangos Pwll Llundain gyda'r Tollty ar y dde a Phont Llundain yn y cefndir. Magwyd Monet yn Le Havre ac yr oedd golygfeydd o'r môr yn destun rhyfeddod iddo. Byddai'n gweithio yn yr awyr agored, 'en plein air'ar ôl y 1850au. Ym 1868 meddai Emile Zola yn frwd: 'Mae wedi ei fagu ar laeth ein hoes...Mae'n caru gorwelion ein dinasoedd, y darnau llwyd a gwyn y mae ein tai yn eu ffurfio yn erbyn golau'r awyr.'

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our website, we appreciate your feedback. Sometimes, depending on the correspondence that comes through via our website, this can be undertaken via email direct with the curator so these conversations are sometimes not publically visible depending on the nature of the content.
Our policy is not to retrospectively unpublish any comments. We do not have capacity to analyse all our public comments and removing some of them whilst retaining others. I hope that this goes someway to answering your concerns. We are always iterating our website and your feedback is very important to us.
Your previous message had been deleted as our systems had picked up possible troll activity.

You've deleted my comment about the pointlessness of having this correspondence between Terry and Sara on line. But you've still kept the correspondence up.
Why? Please read it. IT'S OUT OF DATE - and it makes you look amateurish! Sadly, it's characteristic of your website which desperately need updating. If you don't realise
this you're part of the problem.
Hi there Terry
I've flagged up your question with our Department of Art and I'll post their reply here as soon as I get it.
Thanks for your enquiry,
