Cover for a tureen, beigy-cream coloured earthenware, oval domed shape, a gadrooned edge to the rim, the sides of the cover pierced with long perforations radaiting out from the centre to the rim so that only long strips of the body remain, these strips then moulded with interlacing raised bands to create a basketwork effect, the top of the cover flat and with a gadrooned edge around it, the top of the cover moulded with raised leaves and pierced with six round holes, to the centre of the top a large finial moulded in the form of a flower head; left a beigy-cream colour and glazed.
