Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top, the flange and underside of the lid partially obscured by the frame; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'The Game Bag', showing an outdoor scene with the figure of a young boy stuffing a pile of dead game into a sack while watched over by a standing male figure and two dogs, around the bottom of the scene is the inscription "THE GAME BAG", any border which may enclose the print is obscured by the frame. The glaze slightly crazed. The pot-lid mounted for display in a close-fitting circular wooden frame painted black.
