Casgliadau Arlein

A real horses hoof which still has the shoe nailed to it. It has been hollwed out an a box mounted inside it. Half of the outer surface has been clad in silvered brass, the box is also made from this. The top of the lid has incised image of a flowering plant. The inside of the box has been lined with a dark blue silk velvet with padded base and sides, this has been stuck to straw-board. The top edge has been bound with a navy blue silk ribbon.
