white cotton handsewn day shirt; square cut hem, back slightly longer than the front; side vents with triangular gusset; front fastening with 3 buttons on narrow panel of linen; sewn pleat at either side of opening below linen panel; upper part of shirt has double layer of cotton; neck has button fastening at front; button at back for collar; fullness of shirt gathered into neckline at back; sleeves gathered into linen cuffs; square gusset at armpit; darn on one sleeve, patch on the other.
