Figure well coloured in black knee length riding boots, white breeches, black sword with gilt detailing by left leg, orange coat, orange/green sash across chest from left shoulder and round waist, white necktie, lacy white shirt collar, fur cuffs, naturalistically painted face with black whiskers on jaw line, long black hair, white tricorn hat with a green plume, sitting on a blue saddle over a long pink cloth, right hand resting on horse's mane and holding a scroll, left hand resting on thigh; horse buff with black mane tail and hooves, green girths, black reins, stepping with front right leg raised on a green/brown rocky ground.
