S.S. GLANRHEIDOL (painting)
Adeiladwyd y Glaneheidol ym 1883 gan gwmni Doxford yn Sunderland i archeb y 'Glaneheidol Steamship Co. Ltd.', Aberystwyth. Gwr o'r enw John Mathias, groser o'r dre, a sefydlodd y cwmni ond mae'r 'F.J.' ar ffwnel y llong yn nodi enwau prif cyfranddalwyr y cwmni, sef Capten John Francis a Thomas Jones. Gwerthwyd y Glanrheidol i gwmni o Lundain ym 1891, ond roedd yn dai i fasnachu, yn eiddo i berchennog Sbaenaidd, ym 1940.
S.S. GLANRHEIDOL. Built in 1883 by Doxford's of Sunderland to the order of the Glanrheidol Steamship Co. Ltd, Aberystwyth. The company was promoted by John Mathias, a grocer of the town, but the 'F.J.' funnel markings refer to her two major shareholders, Captain John Francis and Thomas Jones. She was sold to F. Stumore and Co. of London in 1891. Sold to R. Mackie of Leath in 1893 and re-named JERN. Sold to Spanish owners in 1910, she underwent numerous changes of owners, all under the Spanish flag, eventually being deleted from Lloyd's registers in 1938. Her eventual fate is not known.
