Slip-on-impression. Black-letter inscription in eight lines, probably reading: Thenke mon thi liffe/mai not eu endure/ That thow dost thi self/ of that thow art sure/ bu that thow kepist / un to thi sectur cure / and eu hit availe the / hit is is but aventure. This has been interpreted as a warning to executors , for which there are 15th century parallels (see Griffenhoofe 1894).
