Jug, pearlware with a blue tinge to the glaze, bulbous body, cylindrical neck, beak spout with shell-like moulding around the underside, scroll loop handle with raised thumb-spur; the jug relief-moulded with to either side of the body circular panels containing equestrian figures decorated in orange, brown, blue and green, galloping over green grass with trees to either side, to the neck of the jug above each figure are the painted inscriptions "Prince Coburg" and "Duke of York" bordered by orange-brown feather-edging, below the spout and handle are acanthus motifs outlined with brown feather-edging, an orange band around the lower body, a brown band around the interior lip-rim.
