Inscription on back reads "Members of the Unemployed Coal level". This is more likely to be some sort of enterprise during the 1930s rather than being a ‘strikers’ Level’ of the type worked in 1926. Watkin Carey, former lodge secretary Maclaren Colliery, Abertysswg, was unemployed from around 1930 until the Second World War, so may have been involved in this venture.
