Casgliadau Arlein

Linen, embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. At the top is the an inscription detailing the family of the Cook family. Below is a verse. At the bottom, within a floral wreath, is the maker’s name, age and date. The inscriptions are flanked by detached floral, bird and tree designs, symmetrically arranged in pairs. There is a border of a wavy stem with buds and leaves.
