Late Bronze Age gold penannular lock ring
Modrwy fylchgron fach, wag o eurddalen ac iddi drawstoriad siâp triongl yw hon. Fe’i gwnaed o ddau blât siâp conau, a’r gwaelodion wedi’u huno, i greu ffurf deugonig. Mae gwifren aur ac iddi drychiad crwn wedi’i sodro wrth y platiau i rwymo’r ymyl allanol. Mae i’r fodrwy agoriad crwn yn y canol, ac roedd trydedd ddalen yn ei leinio ar un adeg. Roedd hon ar siâp tiwb, ond nid yn ddi-dor, ac roedd bwlch yn y plân fertigol.. Mae 23 o linellau main crwn a chonsentrig yn addurno’r fodrwy, dair i bob milimetr.

Gwybodaeth am y darganfyddiad
Enw'r Safle: Pigeon's Cave, Great Ormes Head
Nodiadau: Hoard. Two gold lock-rings were found with a bronze palstave and a bronze socketed implement near the Pigeon’s Cave on the Great Orme in 1898. The hoard was supposedly found by two youths amongst the debris at the back of a large loose rock. The account of discovery is recorded by Savory (1958, 56-57) following a newspaper report from 1898 and the exact relationship of the hoard to Pigeon’s Cave is unclear. The Pigeon’s Cave is situated near the sea, and it is unlikely the hoard was associated with a burial.
