Clemontine de Wulf (Vivian Hughes' grandmother) and Mariette (Vivian Hughes' cousin) outside the main entrance porch (with balcony above) to Dinorwic Quarry Hospital. Note that the porch and balcony no longer exists. Mr Vivian Hughes' father, Mr Griffith Samuel Hughes, worked at Dinorwig Quarry Hospital from the 1920s onwards as a dispenser, and was also in charge of emergency aid. He and his wife Marie Therese de Wulf lived as caretakers in the hospital until Mr Hughes' death in 1962.
