Cream jug
Cream jug, earthenware, standing on an irregular octagonal foot, octagonal boat-shaped body, raised lip-rim, wide spout, foliate-moulded loop handle modelled with a bird's head at the upper terminal, the foot fluted, the body fluted below a moulded chevron band of oval stops around the shoulder, beaded festoons around the neck; covered all over with silver lustre which to the interior of the jug has worn off to reveal the brown glaze beneath. The spout chipped.
