Photograph captioned 'Arthur in hospital at the beginning of his long stay. His favourite toy dog by his side'. Arthur O'Brien later died in the Aberfan disaster, 21 October 1966. Arthur was probably suffering from hip dysplasia and had to wear a hip brace.
