Inquest photographs re. inquest of Mr Eric Lyall
A collection of six black and white photographs, stuck together with three metal staples. The photographs were used as evidence at the inquest of Mr Eric Lyall - the last person to be killed in an accident at Dinorwig Quarry (on the 8th September 1966). Mr Lyall fell 120 feet whilst trying to dislodge a large boulder, and as a result fractured his skull. While trying to dislodge the boulder a large amount of quarry rubble moved, and dragged Mr Lyall down with it (120feet). The photographs show the rubble which fell.
Mr Owen William Humphreys risked his own life by trying to save Mr Lyall. Mr Owen William Humphreys was also a steward at Dinorwig Quarry.
