Cup, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading slightly waisted foot-rim, the lower body concave, the upper body with flaring sides, ogee handle; transfer-printed in black with to the exterior sides of the body two different rural scenes, one showing three figures standing on a promenade and gazing out over an expanse of water, a multi-towered building, trees and mountains in the background, the other showing three figures in front of a swiss-style chalet with alpine trees in the background, a small scene of a building and trees to the interior bottom of the bowl, a black band around the interior sides of the body and a black band to the interior lip-rim, a black dash to the handle.
