Case, tin-plate, cylindrical form with a hinged domed lid to either end and a metal partition dividing the into two compartments accessed from either end; the exterior covered with a black japan, the rims of the lids decorated with borders of scrolls, narrow borders of stylized foliage around the centre of the case, all in silver to which the varnish has given a golden tinge. Inside the case are two small bottles in lead glass which fit into either end of the case. Each bottle is cylindrical in form with curved shoulder and spreading rim, into the mouth of each bottle fits a small stopper with roughtly octagonal finial, a short purple ribbon is tied around the neck of one bottle, a yellow ribbon around the other.
