Pot, coffee, cover and stand
Coffee pot, drab-coloured dry-bodied stoneware, straight-sided tapering foot-rim, pear-shaped body with engine-turned banded decoration to the lower body, plain curving spout, unusual double handle with upper scrolling loop the lower terminal of which rests on a further shallow loop below, round domed cover with a ball-shaped finial, engine-turned banded decoration to the sides of the cover; the coffee pot decorated with a sprigged relief decoration in drab-coloured stoneware in the form of a frieze around the centre of the body showing among other classical images a seated female figure feeding an eagle-like bird, a seated male figure holding a staff, several figures of winged cupids and several sprigs of flowers, sprigged relief decoration of foliage around the top of the cover, silvered bands around the centre of the body, the lip-rim, the handle and the rim of the cover, the lip and upper portion of the spout silvered, silvered markings to the handle, the finial silvered, unglazed. Stand, drab-coloured dry-bodied stoneware, circular shape, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, gently curving spreading sides; a silvered band to the edge of the rim, unglazed.
