Leather bag made by an unknown political prisoner held in one of the detention centres of the Chilean military dictatorship.

The Committee for Peace, which was a multi faith organization, supported the victims of human rights abuses and their relatives. Its activities included assisting political prisoners produce small craft work for sale as a way to help support their families. This bag was purchased from a craft exhibition in a Santiago square and brought to Swansea by Jose Cifuentes.
