Tea cup, Nantgarw porcelain, whte body with good clear translucency, lustrous glaze, extensively overpainted (now discoloured), standing on a shallow footrim, spreading hemispherical form, loop handle with pronounced mould line, painted in the well with a bouquet of flowers, gilt border of pendant lappets inside the lip, the exterior elaborately decorated with three quatrefoil reserves, each painted with a ruin in a landscape, and three oval reserves, two painted with fruit in an architectural setting, and one ith exotic birds, all linked with with a band of crimson fictive drapery, edged below with a band of gilt C-scrolls, scallops and diaper quatrefoils, and above with foliate gilt scrolls, deckel gilding to lip.
