S.S. CAPTAIN K PAPAZOGLOU. EC2-S-C1 Liberty ship built 1945 by St. John’s River Shipbuilding Co., Jacksonville, Florida on the stocks as THOMAS L. HALEY, but completed as SPETSAE for lease-lend to the Greek Government. 1947 – Sold to Stavros Niarchos, Piraeus as SPETSAE, then renamed CAPTAIN K. PAPAZOGLOU. 1954 – Sold to Efploia Shipping Corp., and renamed PANTANASSA (managed by Lemos Brothers, London). 1961 – Sold to Eftychia Cia. Nav., Panama and renamed GIORGOS TSAKIROGLOU and managed under the Lebanese flag by Franco Shipping Co., Athens. She was broken up at Whampoa, China in 1969.
