Linen, embroidered with coloured silks in eye, rococo, cross, satin and back stitches. The upper half is arranged in thirteen rows, separated by narrow bands of ornament, and contains the letters of the alphabet, the following inscription and numerals to 11: "O All Ye Nations of The Wor / ld Praise Ye The Lord Alwa / ys And Al Ye People every w / here Set forth his Noble Pra / ise for Great his Kindness is T / o Vs His Truth Endvres For / Ay Wherefore Praise Ye The / Lord ovr God Praise Ye The / Lord Always". Below, in twelve rows, separated by narrow bands of ornament, are the following inscriptions: Delight in Learn / soon Doth Bring A Child To / Learn The Hardest Thing / Yesterdays Past To / Morrows None Of / Thine To Day Thy Li/fe To Virtvovs Acts / Incline, Count gods eternal word thy noblest / Treasure which read and practisd yields / eternal pleasure; Jane Dayns 1725.
