Figure of Colonel Peard mounted on horseback facing left, heavy white earthenware with a strongly tinted blue glaze, on an elongated oval base inscribed in gilt raised capitals. Figure largely white and gilt in military dress, of black boots, white breeches, high necked white jacket, green scarf with an orange fringe loosley wrapped over the shoulders and across the body, naturalistically painted face, black hair, pink feather in white cocked hat. Seated astride a gilt spotted horse, with left hand resting on left leg and holding gilt reins, and right hand holding a scroll against the mane. Rocky ground supporting horse under belly.
