Irminger, Johann Jakob (Irminger was the Dresden court silversmith and was closely involved with the Meissen porcelain manufactory during the first decade of its existence, responsible for overseeing design. He is listed in the manufactory personnel list of 1710, where his work is defined as 'so die Inventiones und neuen Desseins besorget', and he was almost solely responsible for the design of Böttger stoneware and porcelain. Pear-shaped coffee pot in Bottger porcelain, standing on a shallow spreading foot, V shaped lip, neck moulded with pendant lappets, the lower body sprigged with seven acanthus leaves, C-Scroll handle; tall domed cover rising to a flat top, sprigged with five acanthus leaves, baluster finial; copper gilt collar to finial with chain to a clip on the handle.
