Mae hwn yn un o naw patrwm y gwyddom i Sutherland eu cynhyrchu ar gyfer project Modern Art for the Table, a’r arddangosfa ddylanwadol yn Harrods ym 1934. Roedd y project yn ymgais i wella safon dylunio cerameg Prydain drwy gyflogi artistiaid cyfoes. Dan arweiniad Thomas Acland Fennemore, Cyfarwyddwr Celf E Brain & Company (Tsieni Foley), ynghyd â Sutherland ei hun a’r dylunydd Milner Gray, gwahoddwyd un ar ddeg o artistiaid blaenllaw’r cyfnod i ddylunio patrymau i’w cynhyrchu mewn tsieni asgwrn gan Foley a phriddwaith gan Wilkinson. Ymhlith yr artistiaid a wahoddwyd roedd Laura Knight, Paul Nash, Ben Nicholson a Frank Brangwyn.
