Tea bowl and saucer
Tea bowl and saucer in hard-paste porcelain, the saucer bowl shaped and without a well, both with fluted sides and scalloped rims; bulk export ware painted in underglaze blue with 'Nankin' landscapes featuring pagodas and trees separated by a river, a man riding a horse across a bridge whilst shielded by a fan-bearer, a fisherman on a boat, elaborate composite border pattern of scales, flowers, foliage and trellises, similar decorative scheme applied to tea bowl with the addition of a single sprig at the interior base, plain bands of gilding to rims and foot rim of tea bowl added in London.
