Introduction: antimony is typically found in hydrothermal veins, associated with silver, arsenic and other antimony ores. A particular association is that of native antimony with native arsenic, silver and Co-Ni sulpharsenides/sulphantimonides: however, this association is not known from Wales.
Occurrence in Wales: native antimony is one of a number of minerals that were reported from the Dolgellau Gold-belt by Readwin (1888) and have not been observed since, although, conversely, antimony-bearing minerals occur widely in Wales.
