Nodiadau: "5A. Hatchet of black flint, much bleached by age, from Holstein, Germany. This axe exhibits on one edge a peculiarly polished surface caused by slight friction against the handle. On the opposite edge on the summits of the ridges (caused by the fractures in chipping the head into form) is a similar polish probably caused by friction against the cord by which it was attached to its handle.."
