Above, within a canopied niche, the Annunciation: the archangel Gabriel standing and holding a scroll inscribed: aue maria, greets the Blessed Virgin; beneath the scroll, a lily flower emerging from a vase. In base, a shield: two chevronels between three roses, WILLIAM OF WYKEHAM; supporters: two lions sejant guardant.
