Evening dress of metallic sheen pleated gauze. Manufactured by G. Kazazian, Paris, about 1980. Worn by Margaret Tovey at balls and rotary club dances, including at Cardiff City Hall. Bodice has one shoulder made up of a sleeve of two tiered flounces of pleated fabric with longer flounce stitched diagonally across bodice, over shoulder and stitched behind arm. Skirt has six diagonal flounces from waist to hem, stitched to acetate lining. Bodice fully lined; maker's label G. Kazazian Paris stitched at side of bodice. Side fastenings on left (shoulderless) side of bodice with grey zip fastener, which is stitched into bodice and skirt lining. Skirt fabric fastens over zip with three press studs. Self fabric belt fastens with press stud and two hooks and eyes, trimmed with fabric rosette.
