Amgueddfa Cymru
Characteristic sherd from a Bi amphora, with deep spiral grooving. Fairly hard, fine, pinkish-buff fabric with the white inclusions typical of Bi, and exactly paralleled by sherds from Pembrokeshire, Ireland, and Sicily. This fragment is illustrated as representative of sixwith similar decoration; there are a further twenty-eight sherds in identical fabric but without ornament. The overwhelming majority of these sherds come from C/D layersin the restricted area of Cut VI suggesting strongly that they are all from a single vessel. It has not, however, proved possible to attempt a reconstruction, for very few of the sherds join one another.
