A letter "Mr Clift presents his compliments to Captain Robe and returns his specimen of fossil tooth; and thinks after comparing it with several recent specimens, that there can scarcely exist a doubt of its being a tooth of the Lesser Cachalot or Spermaceti Whale (Physeter Catadon) from its perfect accordance in many particulars; in size, and form, and structure Lincolns Inn Fields August 29 1828"
