Spill-vase, thickly potted bone china, standing on a waisted spreading foot, slightly flaring cylindrical sides, wides flaring mouth with flat rim, beaded bands around the lower body and shoulder; painted in polchrome enamels with to one side of the body a rural scene showing in the foreground a female figure carrying a basket of washing and hand-in-hand with a small child, in the background a landscape of trees and hills, the scene enclosed within a gilt frame issuing stylized gilt foliage, to the other side of the body a large elaborate motif in gilt of stylized scrolling foliage, gilt bands to the foot, the lower body, the shoulder, the neck and the rim.
