These are moderately preserved remains from the inhumation burial of an young adult (17-25 years) who was probably male.
The burial is from Phase C: 401-659 AD His grave included traces of wood found above and below the skeleton, indicating a possible coffin. It produced a radiocarbon date of 585-652 cal AD.
He was buried in an extended supine position oriented West-East
His teeth showed signs of calculus which is a sign of poor dental hygiene. His teeth also showed Dental Enamel Hypoplasia which shows as marks on the teeth caused by a period interrupted growth during childhood. This interruption could have been caused by a range of traumas, diseases or dietary deficiencies while he was young.
