Nodiadau: This accession may not be from Basingwerk. Whilst clearing out a store in 2000 Cadw found two crates containing medieval floor tiles from Basingwerk Abbey. The tiles were packed in straw and cardboard and sitting on top of them was this collection. It is possible, but not certain that this collection had been put into the box at a later date and consequently may not actually be from Basingwerk Abbey.
