Figure of Napoleon III, Emperor of France, white earthenware, blue tinted crackle glaze, seated on a deep rectangular base tapering towards the back. Largely white and gilt, in court uniform of black shoes, white trousers, white jacket with sash across chest from right shoulder decorated with a gilt zig zag, gilt medals and chains on chest, gilt fringed epaulettes, wearing a long white coat with a black spotted fur collar of extruded clay with long tapes tied at the neck in a loose bow, small black beard, black moustache and hair, seated on a throne with a high scalloped back, resting left hand on thigh gilt sword by left leg, holding a plumed cocked hat in his right hand resting it against his right thigh, left foot resting on a small gilt fringed cushion, throne outlined in gilt, interior of gilt buttoned upholstery, black feathered eagle finial.
