Casgliadau Arlein

This iron object is fused with a piece of calcinated bone from a cremation. The object itself is difficult to analyse but may have been a dress fitting or accessory.

The cranial and long bone fragments indicate the object and bones fused together after being deposited in the ground. It's unclear whether the object was cremated in the pyre with the individual or was placed afterwards as a secondary grave good.
