lovespoon carved by the late Dilwyn George Mears (a self taught woodcarver); consisting of one single panel, upper sector heart shape encompassing designs of pair of doves, Prince of Wales feathers and inscription Ich Dien on internal panels, stippled background; carved loop in upper sector for suspension; spoon at lower end of plain design; maker's mark of clubs on back of main panel; spoon finished with clear light sealing wax
