Vase of coarse red earthenware, standing on a slightly convex base, of high shouldered, ovoid shape with a short straight sided neck, ending in an everted lip rim; two pie-crust moulded horizontal handles attached to the shoulders; exterior unglazed, of variegated colour, ranging from orangey-red to pale sandy with a very smooth appearance, the interior very uneven with much flaking and a lichen-type effect on the surface.
