A knobbed terminal with an iron shaft. Round the latter is considerable corrosion which bears traces of associated wood. The shaft is set at an angle to the bronze knob and there is a wear facet on the knob which suggests that the shaft was positioned at an angle of about 45 degrees when in use. The knob is probably a terminal from some relatively light weight piece of furniture such as a tripod or folding stool. There is a somewhat similar knob and shaft from Newstead.
